Accessibility

Our Commitment

YACCA is committed to promoting access and use of its website https://fishing-battery.com. To this end, YACCA is implementing functional improvements to https://fishing-battery.com to conform to relevant portions of the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines 2.0 AA (WCAG 2.0 AA) of the World Wide Web Consortium. The website is designed to display correctly in current browsers, and using standards-compliant code means it will also display correctly in any future browsers.

Assistive Features:

We have introduced the following features to ensure that all users can make full use of our website

User Testing

The website has been tested and found to be accessible to users who rely on keyboard control, screen readers on both desktop and mobile devices, screen magnification, and high contrast modes. It has been tested by a team of experienced disability web analysts. User testing has been conducted for individuals who are deaf, blind, colorblind, have reading difficulties, low vision, mobility impairments, or learning disabilities.

Changing Text Size

We acknowledge that some users may want to change the size of text on this website, so we avoid using “fixed-size” fonts. To change text size, go to the “View” menu at the top of your browser. Depending on your browser, you will find an option called “Text Size” or “Text Zoom” in this menu. Use this option to increase or decrease text size.

Changing Page Zoom Level:

As an alternative to changing font size only, some modern browsers now allow users to increase/decrease the zoom level of the entire website, not just the text. This option typically supersedes the “Text Size” or “Text Zoom” mentioned in older browsers. Information about these options can be found on the vendor’s website, as described in the “Other Assistive Options” section below.

Navigation:

For screen reader users, we have included hidden menu links at the beginning of each page. This enables users to jump directly to the key content areas of each page without first listening to other page functions.

Headings and Navigation Menus:

HTML heading tags are used to convey document structure. H1 tags are used for main headings, H2 tags for subheadings, and so on. Navigation menus are marked up as HTML lists. This ensures that the number of links in the list is announced at the start and can be easily skipped.

Images:

Our goal is to include descriptive alt tag attributes on every image used on this website. If an image serves no purpose other than decoration, the alt tag is set to empty for easy reading by all users.

Forms and Fields:

All form fields follow a logical tab order to ensure easy navigation. Most form fields also have “label” and “id” attributes to explicitly associate the form field with its label for easy data entry.

Links:

The writing of all links is meaningful for out-of-context reading. In appropriate cases, we also add link title attributes to provide more detailed descriptions of links.

Other Assistive Options:

Additional assistive options, such as disabling styles, colors, and images, can be used in browser and operating system preferences and settings. Information about these is available on the vendor’s websites. The following links will open in a new window.
